Hi porschedude,
I have never done it my self.
But if you go to the Menu > Help Manual > "Installing Linux Lite" and scroll down.
There is a note on "not" doing it during the actual Install, not sure of the reason.?
Which points/links you to a procedure to do it after install.
Encrypting your home folder
See if that helps.
Otherwise I'm sure somebody else will come along with some help.
