[SOLVED] Keyboard Input Wrong
#4
Hi I am new to linux and this is my first post on this forum, I hope I am in the right place.
I have just installed O.S.1.0.8 as dual boot with WIN XP on an HP 510 Laptop.
My problem is much the same as this post by Pjpreilly, but a bit more complicated I have tried the suggested options with partial success.

My biggest problem is with the Terminal it will not show my password when asked, I can input other "sudo " instructions and there are no problems but when asked for "sudo password "  no characters appear all I get is the green flashing curser.
All this means that I cant get any updates or make any changes.
