Linux Lite 2.2 - Software suggestions

File-roller actually opened a tar bar and opens zip files in seconds. Next replaced Image Viewer with Mirage...the difference is day and nite. Am testing Midori just now and once my comfort level is satisfied Chromium will be toast as well. Strange how FF and Chrome don't react the same for me on this side...they're a whole lot slower, freeze and crash all the time. Midori is very fast and now can follow tutorials with gimp open. Not sure if this is what you're looking for...just my 2 cents.

+1000 for file-roller

Xarchiver is garbage honestly. It has issues with a lot of files. I have some .lha files and it will not open them, rar files have issues, some zips. I replaced Xarchiver with file-roller a long time ago. Just forgot that I did Smile
