Install additional software (new user)

Lets start with Chrome, open a terminal and type:

sudo apt-get install google-chrome-stable

copy any errors to your next post.

Having the same problem, tried your fix and got this:

E: Could not get lock /var/lib/dpkg/lock - open (11: Resource temporarily unavailable)
E: Unable to lock the administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), is another process using it?

tom@tom-desktop:~$ sudo apt-get install google-chrome-stable
