Hello John,
if at any time you want to reinstall Linux Lite, you would not need to install a different OS first to replace LL and then reinstall Linux Lite in place of this.
You can insert the LL cd, restart so the cd runs as a live cd and then when on the desktop select the icon to install Linux Lite.
When it asks if you wish to use the entire hard drive and wipe all its contents if you select yes, after the install you will have a clean install of Linux Lite to work with.
Before doing this save any personal files to a usb flash drive or disc, for future use.
