Synaptic Package Manager error

When i have opened up the Synaptic Package Manager and tried to update the software i keep getting the following error message:

Could someone help me out here please.

The solution is.:

Open a Terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy/paste the following, then hit "Enter", then input your login password:
