I have been a long term user of LL for years. Then all of a sudden I had a major issue, and never recovered. I then installed LM and had been using it for about 5 years, because it works.
I was able to get printer working, and various software with out a hitch. When I am asked why I used LM , my reply would be "because it just works". I am not a PC buff that has heaps of technical expertise, so I need things to work properly and with out a great deal of intervention.
How ever,as I had used LL years ago for several years, thought I give it another go. Yes you have to fiddle a little bit, but at the end of the day, I still like LL. And so here I am back on LL 7.0.
Hope I do not have to move again. Fingers crossed.
Today upon boot, it halted with a boot error, so now I am not sure????? after systemctl reboot it did boot up ok and I performed an update , which went ok, then rebooted, and all seems to be working with out a hitch.
I have to admit, these problems I never had with LM. Last LM used was Virgina.
