There seem to be several unbranded/generic variations using the Cambridge Silicon Radio vendor ID and there are many reports of problems trying to get them to work in Linux.
One comprehensive reference I found was here.
It seems that kernel patches were produced that attempted to fix some of the problems (up to Bluetooth V4.0) but there is a suggestion that Bluetooth 5 clones introduced more variation and may not work.
Is it possible to research and find a genuine branded device which is guaranteed Linux compatible ?
