Recent Password enforced to log on Update

Sorry, I'm a bit confused.

Let the system boot up to the normal GUI logon window.
Choose your normal username from the pull down in the user name option.
If your usual username isn't shown on the pull down, click 'Other...' and then type in your usual username.

Enter your normal password into the password box.

Click the 'Log In' button

Then post back with exactly what happens.
