You're right, of course. I guess for me, PPAs are the lesser of two evils.

You have to make some hard choices as the main developer, and then put up with criticism from a technophobe who knows very little about developing an OS. I know I have been a bit of a hypocrite with my criticisms, I know, first "damning" PPAs and now advocating for their use over snaps.

But I hope some of my observations and opinions are still helpful somehow.
