Hello AZ,
the updates may have changed the driver that is in use for your wifi, this causing it to stop working.
Changing the driver currently in use back to the working driver (the one used previously) would resolve the problem if this were the case, without needing to reinstall LL.
Sometimes additional steps are required, depending upon your wifi card.
So in answer to your question, yes it can be possible to remove updates without having to reinstall LL, and some members have done so with wifi driver issues/updates.
You can see which wifi card you have in your machine by - Menu>System>System Information
You can see which drivers are in use by - Menu>All>Install Drivers
Can you post the results of which wifi card you have installed and which driver has its radio button ticked please ?
Your next question, I reinstalled LL by using the CD, I asked how to do this and Valtam's advice was to use the cd.
I only had to reinstall after I had gotten a bit too adventurous soon after installing, I also added in things like the Ubuntu software centre which was not a good idea to do.
It is better to work with members of the LL community to try and solve the driver issue, install the best suited one and prevent the problem occurring again, rather than reinstalling and it occurs again as I realize that could become frustrating.
