UPDATE: I was installing the mobile version, is the log above normal when trying to get updates for this type of install? The main install went through fine.

What do you mean by 'the mobile version' ? I don't know what this is.

Can you clarify 'the main install went through fine' ?  Does this mean you booted a PC with the live media and then took the option to install LL to the PC hard disk and then rebooted the PC from the installed OS ?

As far as I am aware, if LL OS has been installed to a disk on a PC and the PC has then been rebooted and is running the LL OS then an update error log message referring to CD-ROM is not normal.
