Unable to update OS

The other time I was unable to update the OS I solved the problem with sudo apt autoremove, following advice from this forum. That doesn't work this time:
sudo apt autoremove
[sudo] password for ben:

Building dependency tree     
Reading state information... Done
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 29 not upgraded.

It's been 8 days since the last update, so those 29 are probably the new changes since last time.

You'll need to remove the PPA: /joh/ppa/ubuntu

Uncheck the PPA from "Software and Updates" under the "Other Software" tab.. Then try running updates again
