I agree with SSR, I use it for over 6 years so, I know it does the best job for screencasting.
As for an OBS replacement, well, SSR has nothing to do with streaming video. OBS is mainly used for streaming. For screen capturing (screencast) from my perspective, OBS does a poor job so "replacement" sounds weird, to say the least. Specs for OBS, are also very restrictive so it's very far from "Lite".
Besides, I guess SSR has already won its place among video tools, for who knows how to do screencasting!
Further more, it's "Lite" so it fits into the philosophy!
