[...] Core 2 Duo T9600 2.8GHz with Dual Nvidia Graphic Cards Geforce 260M and 9400M. [...] Linux only recognizes the 9400M.

Linux has nothing to do with "recognizing" anything.
Linux only provides the necessary drivers according to the hardware list built on POST.
So you need to enter your BIOS and choose the primary display.
Since the default was  GeForce 9400M, I recommend you to switch on GeForce 260M.

After this, save the BIOS settings and reboot.

Entering the same app you screen-captured, you should be able to see the new driver.
Should be something like  "NVidia 260.19.21"

Give it a test.
Maybe this time will work everything, although, I had myself trouble with GeForce GT630 OEM (GK107).
I switched to the Intel GPU (HD 4600) which gives far better results than NVidia.

That is pretty weird.
According to the screen capture, there is only one driver available for the LAN/WiFi chipset. This should work.
Search with Google for articles on this topic, maybe there is something that has to be done in order to prevent drivers to overlap for whatever reason.
This I guess requires some more practice in using Synaptic Package Manager and GDebi Package Manager in order to be able to install and uninstall securely any driver.
Leaving installations leftovers and installing something else, leads mostly to conflicts and hardware behaviour becomes impredictible.

Good Luck! Smile

Yeah this is pretty weird even though I'm no expert to Linux but I did try getting into BIOS and there's no option for me to switch around the graphic cards. I guess I just should stick with what it's right now and accept it. Was hoping there would be a solution for my old laptop. But thanks anyways for your help.
