Love to help you, but I'm a little confused about your connection setup. RDP is a Windows protocol. Do you mean VNC or is your client a Windows machine? I'm assuming the host is not a Windows machine. Both RDP and VNC are RAM suckers on small RAM cap machines. The most efficient way is for the host to have the big RAM and the big HDD, and virt manager or gnome boxes to run the virtual OSs, then a nice little Linux Lite client can either access virt manager or gnome boxes with SSH X11 forwarding and let the bigger host machine do all the work and use the RAM.
