Jerry said "Looks like we need a clear tutorial for the Help Manual. I'll add one in before the next LL release."
Thanks for the reply Jerry. I thought I had posted today's info--but I guess I closed the browser before I hit Post.
I'll be happy to be the guinea pig/beta tester for your tutorial
If not--PLEASE tell me which file/directory I should delete.
I booted without errors this morning. The first thing I did was run sudo apt autoremove. It listed 3 files to remove, which it did, and then proceeded to try and pick up from the install yesterday-- I guess,. It had lots of errors--almost all of which were No space left. I saved the .txt file of the result of autoremove, and of the df -h after the autoremove.
I went to shut it down--and an error message popped up that the "Session Manager was not idle". I had no open apps--autoremove, screen shot, text editor were the only ones I used. I looked at processes and found nothing that resembled a Session Manager. So I had press the laptop power switch. It did boot up again for met to get the current df for you, since it was not a normal shutdown--the .txt file of the autoremove and df were not saved in Home/Documents.
Here is the current df, which looks better. I was tempted to try another Install Updates---but I will wait for your instructions.

Also--since I have over 6gb left on the stick, formatted ext4 and the partition is labeled casper-rw--how do I get the casper-rw file to be located there? I followed the instruction on one the live persistence sites to delete the casper-rw file--but I could not boot after doing so. Another site have me edit grub.cfg to add the word "persistence" on a particular line and like the 3rd word in from the left. 4.4 does not have a grub.cfg in the grub folder. Almost all the sites I found were at least 2 years old--some 10yrs old. lots have changed since they were written! Could it be as simple as moving the file casper-rw to the directory casper-rw?
Thanks again for your help Jerry,
Ron
