Hi,
I'm sure you have a reason to use a persistent USB key but you could also repartition your Windows 7 internal harddrive (shrink it down 16G or more), add a partition for Linux Lite in this new space and install there.

**NOTE : this will change your HDD boot sector, so I would suggest you backup an image of your whole HDD first to an external HDD, just in case.
**NOTE2: I use a Clonezilla 2.60 "Stable" USB boot key currently for this kind of procedure (Beginner mode, savedisk). Link here :https://clonezilla.org/downloads/downloa...nch=stable
