Can someone recommend a calendar program?
#6
Glad you've found some options. For the future you might want to look at Evolution, which is in LL Synaptic package manager. It's similar to Tbird, but seems more developed and to my eyes has a better look.

I use it for Email, preferring it to Tbird as the Evolution File>Backup Evolution Data works very quickly to back up all my emails, which I find a lot easier than Local Folders in Tbird. I must admit I haven't had to Restore from that file yet, but I expect it would allow me to restore to a new installation - I'll find out when I upgrade to LL 4.x!

To get to the point - Evolution has a calendar, which I admit I don't use, but testing it just now it does create recurring appointments and has Pop-Up Alerts options. Not sure if that's quite what you meant.

SN.  I hope my reply has been useful - click Thank on the left.
