That's awesome! I use Linux Lite on old, slow, unsupported WindowsXP machines for a couple of schools near me. The result is not only blazing speed and nimble performance, but also delighted students and staff who can't just run out and buy a whole new computer on their own.
Another bonus: Some elderly folks at a nursing home have been able to use LL's super-simple intuitive interface to keep in touch with family and friends "from the good ol' days." All I really do to modify it is make the fonts and panel icons bigger, and swap some of the more resource-hungry applications with lighter ones. If their computer balks at a resource hog like Firefox, I choose a lightweight alternative like Midori (sometimes, if it doesn't crash constantly).
Not bad for a boy who is still a little scared of computers, huh? Anyway
