What's your network device? Open whisker menu and type system, this should bring "system info/profiler" or something like that - my system's Spanish - open the program and look under pci devices for your network card, or open a terminal and type which will show your network card but you won't see which driver's used while in the GUI you will, it's upĀ to you which one to use.
With this information you may google to find out on whether or not issues have been reported for this device in linux, and if so maybe some solutions as well.
