that's what I get, apart from other output but some mentioned packages I installed myself so it's not relevant. 

I'm too noob in Linux to known the planned for XFCE but could go to version 5 maybe in 2019?

I don't know but it'd be nice having a 5 XFCE version  ;D



It's my understanding, according to what I read that the Ubuntu base packages are fully supported until 2021, but like you mentioned and like the above image shows main hardware support until 2019. I've also read, for example, in this post https://ubuntu-mate.community/t/why-can-...04/5098/12  that Ubuntu derivatives/flavours such as LL with an alternative DE like XFCE has only 3 years support from Ubuntu regarding desktop environment packages. I guess we're good until 2021 on LL, but I still don't fully understand all this and how it exactly works. What happens next after 2019 when main hardware support ends? I guess we'll figure it out when the time comes.
