I always have partitions to test distro's so I am able to choose the best free software for day to day use. http://distrowatch.com/
LL2 was better in ways than Xubuntu14.04 and Mint 17. (And I like this forum.)
LL2 reminds me of when I had WattOS in this pc some time ago, but I like Xfce better than
barebone Lxde and/or tiny better than MATE which is also slower.
But let's be honest... very nice to use.
And yes, my wife uses Puppy on an old Acer instead of Windows XP now..
I have tried it from time to time, but it is not enough for me.
But unbelievebly good for the room it takes. And safe on disk or pendrive.
(LL has very little bugs. That was certainly a reason too. For instance the very good
Xubuntu 12.04, which I still have on the machine, had for a year all kinds of bugs.
With continued updating that dissappeared. )
I keep a special place in the heart for PCLinuxOS or PCLOS (now the MATE-
version on a partition.) It was my first 'brand' some ten years back.
It has had its ups and downs, but is very good now.
Let me say: I keep playing around and can do my work this way as long as they let us.
And it is the only more of less 'safe' way to go on computers I think.
