Kernel package trouble
#8
Same thing. I received a message to try running autoremove, and after this ran the broken dependencies error was gone from Synaptic. I was able to remove a few of the oldest kernelsĀ  to create space and then update ran without error messages. Everything appeared to be fine, system up to date message. But on reboot the system does not recognize any network devices so I cannot get the laptop online. I booted the machine from a DVD and the test OS had no trouble going online so there is no hardware failure. But I cannot find a way to get LL to recognize network devices now.
