Do you have a second browser installed to the system? If so, does that one work? If you don't, install another browser and see if problem is only with Firefox. (You can delete/uninstall it later if don't want to keep it.) Go to Menu -> System -> Lite Software, then install the Chromium browser. After install, find it under Internet section of Menu and see if it works.
If you discover that problem is only with Firefox then maybe you're experiencing same thing that I did just a few days ago -- other browsers worked, but not Firefox. For me solution was to follow instructions on this page to disable both IPv6 and DNS Prefetching. Try that and see if it straightens out problem for you too.
P.s. Problems for me happened after recent update to Firefox. Was working fine before the update.
