Format new drive with GParted ext4 Error

I can't drag files on to drive I think it's a permissions thing! I did get couple files on drive when I open drive, bottom screen shot but don't know how I did that was a bit of clicking about.

I'm not clear on what you are using the drive for.  Are you trying to install to it?  Or is this just an added drive for more storage space?
