How to get rid of "sessions"?
#3
I did something similar when I first had the XFCE desktop and found I could get rid of it in Linux Lite by going into Session and Startup. On the opening General tab of this program is a tick box under the sub heading Logout Settings for "Automatically save session on logout". Make sure it's unticked and I think all should be well.

But there is another trap: the Logout Button. If you end your session by clicking on the Log Out button (which I think is the default) there is also a tick box there labelled "Save session for future logins". This needs to be unticked too.

Good luck.

Linux Lite also installed on 8Gb desktop, Samsung N145 Netbook (2Gb) and Philips Freevents Core2Duo (2Gb) laptop for personal use and 3 Dells and 2 Acers for others
