Yes it can - I usually add a tid bit of info to mine If more than just updates 
I don't have a LL box by me.. I believe there is a rename button, check the box on the right side of the restore point, click rename, swipe to highlight/arrow/etc and rename...
*May have to type name then click rename as final..
