Thanks, good link. Will try there software shortly.
On their forum though, the ATI x1600,x1650,RV530 or RV535 are mentionned only for 2013 and below, no 16.04.
But, I learned that there is a new Hardware Enablement Stack for 16.04.3. Dont think it will help unfortunately.

Is there a third party ATI driver package somewhere for older cards?
Maybe the card just doesn't detect the Plug and play monitor correctly?
