The name of the manufacture is medion
While there are ways to get some of the better Bay & Cherry Trail devices to run Linux, all of these devices are UEFI only and most require a 32bit UEFI boot loader (the exceptions seem to be those that come with 4GB of RAM standard).

I used info from Linuxium to get a Lenovo Ideapad 100s 11" netbook (2GB RAM, 32GB eMMC) with 32bit UEFI only boot support converted - both to get a version of Clonezilla running to back up the Windows installation and to install Xubuntu.  I ditched Windows completely.  Unfortunately I think the modified ISOs may have been taken down now that the ISO respin script has been published.  While I didn't use Lite on the Lenovo, I have since managed to get Lite 3.4 64bit installed on an Intel NUC in a UEFI boot configuration using the info in m654321's tutorial (also without Windows).  So some of these devices can run Lite with some effort.

Unfortunately there are an increasing number of cheaper machines which use less standardised hardware that only Windows drivers have been released for making shopping harder  >Sad and brands like Medion and Unisurf tend to sell this sort of hardware.  However some of the better class devices are still available - I think that Asus, Lenovo, Acer and Dell currently have machines around the AU$300-400 mark that can be induced to run without Windows with some UEFI related effort.
