I know those, had looked into them and a friend used them before. He advised me to either go for a usb adapter or cable.
Cable I use 1 noodle cable it is flat and it turns corners easily, I have only used up to 10 metres long, I am unsure if it is available longer.
I have (and use) usb adapter only 2.4Ghz, these ones I used and they work well -
Unbranded from China 0.99 for 1, or 1.15 for 2 micro dongles, free postage.
Also these ones - (I dont know the prices they sent it me etc)
Qualcom Atheros AR9271
Alfa AWUS036h
Alfa AWUS036NHA
Also I have a many different antenna I can add to these.
I like the remote magnetic mount, it has usb cable that plugs into usb port, it sits at the desk then you plug the wifi adapter into it vertically, it saves stress on the usb port, also then you can use dongle with any antennas to improve it a lot, such as bigger omni or panel. Dont need pigtails near the computer.

Thanks, will have a look into that cable and the adapters you mentioned. My internal wireless ard works fine, its only that i get only 75Mbit out of the 150Mbit connection i have. When i use my Nexus 6 and log into the 5Ghz wifi i get 145Mbit, if i use usb tethering with the phone i get around 90Mbit on laptop.
