It was not removed. It was replaced because the outdated version was vulnerable. Smile

Irrespective, I can play the videos the user posted with Firefox and other browsers; I have flash disabled in Firefox and I also have Restricted Extras installed.

It might be related to the hardware/kernel or software other than flash maybe?

I'd try to play the video installing Restricted Extras and disabling flash in the browser to see if there is a difference.
