Need Help Installing

Thanks again, and I'll take that as great news hence prior to making the dvd boot I didn't check.

However, I'd like to install the Linux Lite software to my computer as the permanent operating system.  I thought that would also eliminate afterwards having to use the DVD boot.

When I tried before I would get the original error message as well as something talking about a root not being available.

I created and saved a report if that would helpful to resolving the issues if you or anyone need it.  Thanks again. 

You need to wipe your entire drive, search for guides on how to do this with gparted or maybe similar tools. This error you are seeing is because the drive isnt reporting partitions properly due to mbr/gpt conflicts. It's not to uncommon, but understand you will be destroying all your data on said drive. If you need more instructions on this action I strongly suggest asking for help directly here, or at most opening a new thread describing the issues you might run into/the task you are attempting.

Curious why this error isn't considered in the code, seems logical to expect. In any case you can also open a report on unbutu's bug tracker for ubiquity.
