my guess it it was somehow confused having both installed or nautilus was set as default and would not load, i really have no idea either. lol but most likely it was not the default and making thunar default with sudo would have worked without the uninstalling of anything. i just had no idea why it would not let me choose thunar until running it permission in termninal and seeing the message "CRITICAL **: Unable to open file /home/elliott/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list.6825.tmp for writing: Permission denied" then adding sudo to allow the change. anyway the support you guys give here is so fast its like a chat room, i hope to one day be able to help people with this os myself its by far the best os imho.
i would like to know if i can log on as root or give all privileges to my current account somehow, i know its unsafe but just for certain times it would be cool to know how to do.
