dmesg command in terminal gives info on error messages on why certain things don't work. You can look for your self for touchscreen related errors.

The output of dmesg is maintained in the log file /var/log/dmesg, and it can thus also be easily viewed by reading that file with a text editor, such as vi or gedit, or with a command such as cat, e.g.,

Also, have you set it up that also the login/lock screen is showing the onboard keyboard?

No. Because I have a working keyboard.
