hi sorry for not explaining better. when i open my home folder i see button that lead me to [home][folder] when i would like it to be more like windows or when i "choose the folder" on the gear icon all the way to the left it leaves me with a windows opening bar that i am more confortable with like /root/home whereas i can just type where i want to do and not use the icons like in windows. i believe i had this setup before but can't find a way to switch it back and find it incredibly annoying. 
it changes only when in thunar than when going to any other folder outside it switches back to the button icons showing what folders i am in.
hope you can help and if i can explain it better let me know i can try a lot harder but think this sums up the issues, im just way in favor of the windows type folder prompt were i can physically type what fold i want to go to /root/home/blah/blah instead of the [buttom] [botton]...
