How to run Linux Lite completely in a Ramdisk

Well I went back to the forum where I learned to put XP in a ramdisk and luckily enough I found what I was looking for. Those people at reboot.pro are allot smarter then I could ever claim to be that is for certain. Knowing the tools and figuring out the processes will be the kicker. Does the "dd" command create a disk image in linux?
