Haven't tried that myself, so can't give instructions.  However, if you plug "ramdisk" and/or "tmpfs" into the search engine in my signature line you'll get several hits.  Filter answers for "Ubuntu" and/or "Mint" (by clicking on their names along the top of results page) and you'll find ones that should apply in same manner to LL.
