My take / suggestions on linux lite

chke419, hope you find what you are looking for

i am the average user gold_finger talked about,
use the office programs and then downloaded some graphics programs (to go with gimp)

as a new linux user who tried other distros,
the simplicity of Lite was a plus (i think Jerry is right, function over form to start the race)
(and the feather logo caught my attention, that is really apropos, good job whoever designed that)

as was mentioned, forums are also an important factor,
this one is friendly and helpful
