[Request] Home Server Tutorial
#2
Hello!

At the present time, Linux Lite is only available as a desktop version, and I don't see that changing - at least not any time soon. Setting up, configuring, running, and maintaining servers is, for the most part, beyond the vast majority of LL users, just as it is with Windows users.

Those who DO run Ubuntu Linux-based servers do so with Ubuntu Server, using just a command-line interface, or CLI. Since servers, as a rule, don't run desktop environments (like XFCE or Linux Lite), there is, as a rule, even less overhead on servers than on desktop versions.

As for tutorials, a number of them already exist online on how to set up an Ubuntu home server to provide some of the services you inquire about, and probably a few you haven't yet thought of. For the LL development team to provide a tutorial on how to make LL into what it isn't meant to be isn't likely, as doing so would only divert them from their primary objectives. I know that's not what you want to hear, but it IS what it is...
