So to be clear, go into BIOS, move regular disk to top of list?

Then follow your commands you listed, there is no need to do
Code:
sudo update-grub
at any point..??

It will still know where the Win7 install is..??

Upgrades WIP 2.6 to 2.8 - (6 X 2.6 to 2.8 completed on: 20/02/16 All O.K )
