Me neither. Looks like something was left out in the kernel I guess. Or like I suggested earlier. A corrupted Linux_Lite iso download and install.
I have to wait on Jerry or Misko or Shaggy to weigh in on this because my readouts are as follows for ralink usb.

Or, you can try wirezfree recommendation
Quote:Download the file from here and follow the following steps:
Extract the rt3290sta-2.6.0.0 directory into /usr/src.
Run sudo dkms install -m rt3290sta -v 2.6.0.0 --force.
Reboot.
And you should be good
Edit: left out of the above fix is
Code:
cd /usr/src
before running sudo dkms install command. So you are at least in the directory I would think?
at wirezfree. You can see my setup exactly which is not the same as the OP. Different ralink chip for one. Different kernel for another.
Not to worry wirezfree. I think your /usr/src link fix is the ticket I would try if I was in the OP's shoes right now. So far I see that as a best answer to this issue.
Maybe the OP has a oddball non supported ralink chip in Ubuntu and Linux Lite.
I just thought Jerry and others might have had this chip covered in their kernel vs ubuntu kernel and iso build.
Cuz you never know with custom distros.
