Take a look at Shuttle Bare-bones, I have a XH-97V with i7-4790S + 16GB and DS-87 (very small) with i7-4790T + 16GB, both have onboard mSATA(Samsung 840's) + WD 2.5" Blacks(500GB)
The only mod I made was on the XH97V, I swapped the "Heat Pipes" for a low profile "Gelid Cooling" system run about 5-6C cooler.
It just purrs along, I can run 10VM's inc ms-dos 6.22 networked
,(14 virtual CPUS & 14GB Mem)
I forgot the Linux Chart
(( All the Win stuff is for posterity, the XP VMS are actually images of my what was my real XP installs converted to run on VBox ))

Upgrades WIP 2.6 to 2.8 - (6 X 2.6 to 2.8 completed on: 20/02/16 All O.K )
