Is there a way to make a bootable clone of my Linux Lite partition?
#13
Hi Len,

I'm not that familiar with dual boot Linux/Windows, especially not with UEFI. But IF you have installed the bootloader NOT to a partition (like sda1) but to the MBR of the disk (like sda) - which is the usual way, THEN, it won't be backed up with the partition image!
There are also ways to backup just the MBR of a disk and restore it. But would have to look it up in my notes. And there might be meanwhile quite nice tools around for doing so I didn't have years back.

Hope that helps Smile
