Hello Duckrow,
yes, I follow now.
I am unsure if there is a way to set system wide settings for every installed software or how to do that. It may be possible with for example Leafpad and LibreOffice as they have not been added to LL.
Fonts can be in the fonts folder for LL, or they can be installed in the fonts folder of a specific program, (or both).
re; I have fonts installed in Gimp folder that are not installed for use in LibreOffice or any other programs, as I know I will only use those fonts on Gimp images.
In theory any installed program should be able to use the fonts installed in the LL fonts folder.
That said some programs may be designed by default to only look within their own fonts folder. You may be able to alter the programs so they look in the system fonts folder, or otherwise if this is not possible on any specific program you may be able to install the font into its font folder.
On your choice of fonts in Leafpad does it show Courier font in size 10 as available ?
If so once opened in Leafpad if you click within the text saved as Courier 10 pitch, does the font change in Leafpad to courier 10 pitch ?
Example - in LibreOffice when I open a document that uses Calibri font it displays as Calibri but the font settings display as Liberation serif.
If I click within the text of the document the font setting in LibreOffice changes to Calibri of the same size, and newly added text will use Calibri font.
But if I clicked on a new line after the Calibri text then entered additional text, it would use the Liberation serif font and the fonts would then be different in the document.
Clicking within the documents text saves the need to change the default font setting manually in LibreOffice to match the document, does this work in Leafpad too where the font is installed ?
