Hello

The version of Linux Lite is 2.2 64 bit.

First some information on how I use iBus on my system.

I use an Estonian keyboard layout.
iBus seams to insist on leaving English permanently there although I don't use it as my layout of choice.

So it kind of has quadrupled the English part after I added the Estonian layout to it (and changed to Estonian as the default in iBus).

Any suggestions on how to remove those unnecessary English layouts?

Thank you in advance,

Let's see if this helps.
Right click on the icon and then select 'Preferences'
When a dialog opens, click on 'Input Method' tab and enable 'Customize active input methods'
Add your language and remove the English.
I've noticed that English layout returns, even though it is removed, when I right-click on the icon and then select 'Restart'.

Yes I removed English and restarted iBus with right click and "Restart". At first it left only Estonian as a Layout. After rebooting the machine English showed up as a layout again. When I go to the iBus preferences again there is no English layout visible there. So the issue here must be somewhere deeper in the system.
