Some tips for everyone who likes trasparent panels. Linux Lite 2.2

right-click > panel > panel preferences
Select 'Items' tab and then double click on the 'Window Buttons.'
Here you will see an option 'Show flat buttons' If you enable that your window buttons that are not active will become transparent.
Some other tips since you opened this
Window Grouping - is set to 'Never' by default, you can change that to 'Always' if you want to group your opened windows buttons on the panel. If you turn it on and open' let's say 3 firefox windows, only one window button will appear with this label 'Firefox (3)'. When you click on that menu pops up and you can choose one of the windows.
Middle Click Action - set to 'Nothing' as default. I like to to change it to 'Minimize Window'. That way when I click on the window button on the panel with the middle button on my mouse, widow will minimize to the panel. Unfortunatelly this doesn't work on grouped window buttons when I enable 'Window Grouping'. The other option you can choose for the 'Middle click action' is to close the window with the middle mouse button 'Close window'.
Draw window frame when hovering a button -does what it says, very cool option, and I like it.
Show only minimized windows - I would not use that one.
Let's continue. Go back to the 'Panel Preferences' double-click on 'Workspace Swither', Workspace Swither window dialog opens.
'Show miniature view' - miniature view doesn't look too nice on a transparent panel so I've switched that off. Also number of rows to 2 seems to look ok,
Once more, back to the 'Panel Preferences' and double-click on a 'Notification Area' , and window dialog opens. Here there is an option to 'Show frame' on a notification area icon. I switched that off so it looks better on the panel.
