Linux Lite updates starts but then says "updates have been canceled"

it started breaking after i installed a ricoh printer

workaround

aptitude (as root) or synaptic (as root) work fine on their own but do display a warning

Go to: Menu>All>Software & Updates >Other Software tab and uncheck the offending PPA. Run sudo apt-get update afterwards and then Lite updates. apt/sources.list.d/ is automated differently in LL than Ubuntu. LL is generally designed with good sensible GUI user tools.
