Software updates fail

Tried with pre-relese checked.
Same results.

OK  Here are the errors I get

I tried Deleting
/var/cache/apt/archives/libdrm-common_2.4.82+git20170814.687d2507-0ubuntu0ricotz~16.04.1_all.deb
And
/usr/share/libdrm/amdgpu.ids'

I then tried updating again, still got same errors

/var/cache/apt/archives/libdrm-common_2.4.82+git20170814.687d2507-0ubuntu0ricotz~16.04.1_all.deb  is back
/usr/share/libdrm/amdgpu.ids' is not there after update try

Is there anything else I can try?

Gave up and did a clean install

Looks to me like you do not have an internet connection.  I may be wrong cause I am Noob as well.

OK,  Just going by (does the network require authentication?). Like I said, just a Noob.

Actually the network is a company network with firewall to certain sites, gambling, porn e.t.c and mac address filter.But i am an authorized user who can connect to Internet normally.Any idea how to solve the problem without having to change OS?

Hi,
The problem is probably your work network uses a transparent proxy.

I did not encounter this myself, but, maybe it's possible to do update trought the Tor network ?(question for Linux Masters).
But, the simplest would be to ask your network admin to have an unfiltered connection.
