Kindly guide how to open .pptx files in impress. I am using Linux Lite 3. Other MS Office files like .docx, .doc, .xls, .xlsx are opening perfectly but when i am opening .pptx its opening in file explorer and showing three folders and a xml file.

Thanks in advance.

Something strange.??

According to the Libre Office Help... It should open .pptx files

In the Impress Menu, have you tried File - Wizards - Document Converter and select PowerPoint

Thanks for your suggestion. I did not tried document converter but in another system i am using Ubuntu Mate 16.04 32 bit OS, in that all MS Office files are opening perfectly. I think there are some dependencies need to be install in Linux Lite 3 to support .pptx.

Mhh have you checked if in the MIME type editor LibreOffice Impress is selected for MS Powerpoint files?
